Field Study

In West Virginia when I was still buzzing from having the idea to build Clash Clown, a friend advised me on field study. Seeking out experience upon which to draw, rather than getting caught up in getting overwhelmed pursuing know-it-allism.


It's the immediate, immersive, visceral experiences that have inspired me to write, create perform, travel and connect. And so to better share the experience with you, I turned to...mapping out how to approach this analytically? It doesn't line up for me today.


Doing the reading, watching, listening and writing is what's available right now. More opportunities to get out into the world will come. It's up to me to seek them out. In the meantime, I will chip away at the knowledge.
